Franchisee Discovers Benefits of #AreaDevelopment
Bill Brinkman, was looking for more out of his career and connected with Joe Wenig, Career Ownership Coach. After having regular coaching calls with Joe and walking through his Income, Lifestyle, Wealth and Equity assessment Brinkman started to think big. As time went on, Brinkman realized entrepreneurship would help him achieve his goals. He discovered the support and business plan provided by the franchising model is ideal. He learned he could accomplish his vision by picking a new franchise and purchasing an area development deal.
“I didn’t think franchising was appealing to me,” Brinkman said. “Through my conversations with Joe, I felt one of the things that might make sense was the opportunity to find a newer franchise that would allow me to be an early adopter and participate in the franchises growth and evolution.”
Wenig provided Brinkman with a number of different franchise opportunities, but when he discovered Novis Health, he knew it would be the right fit. Novis Health is a functional medical provider that specializes in helping people manage chronic health conditions like type 2 diabetes, hypothyroidism and autoimmune diseases. The healthcare company allowed Brinkman to pursue his passion for improving the health of his local community and to be his own boss. Brinkman opened his first location in March in Cleveland, Ohio. “Novis Health is a relatively new franchise, and it gave me the opportunity to do something good for the community,” Brinkman added.
Despite opening his first franchise, Brinkman still makes it a priority to touch base with Wenig on a regular basis. Brinkman values the advice and friendship the pair share. “I want him to be successful, and it’s important to me that we stay in touch,” Wenig added.

His coaching career gives him the tools he needs to help his clients discover financial freedom, but it gives him the flexibility to use his own skills and experience to succeed.
Since launching his coaching business in 2017, Wenig has helped many clients achieve self-sufficiency through career ownership. “I invest time, and I don’t rush my clients. I hold them to a schedule, but I strive to build trust, and I share my experiences,” Wenig said. “I believe ambiguity is my enemy, so I ask my clients lots of questions to help them achieve their dreams.”
